Hey there! What’s happening?
As a runner, I feel like we need to talk about the current state of weather here in the Northeast. It’s plain ol’ crazy. It snowed on Friday. The winds picked up even more. The temperatures plummeted into single digits with real feel of sub zero.
C’mon Mother Nature! You are killing me!
Side note – Have you noticed that most runner’s do in fact like to talk about the weather? You need to know the daily weather forecast to plan out what days you will do certain runs and of course, what you will wear. I don’t think I’ve ever met a runner who did not have an interest in chatting about the weather.
Anyway…I’m kind of happy that I was not running this weekend. Well, I’m definitely NOT happy about a cranky foot but I am happy that I didn’t have to slog in frigid temps for 16 miles for my long run.
Speaking of a my cranky foot. It’s feeling pretty good. I’m committed to my 1 week off from running and will not try to run on it before then. Please cross your fingers and toes for me!
