I hope you are enjoying your weekend to the fullest. We are getting soaked with rain and chilly temps. April showers bring May flowers, right? The rain didn’t stop me from getting my run on. I got in a hilly 10 miler yesterday and am hoping for a few recovery miles today.
After my run yesterday, I was starving. I wanted something quick and fast. Most days, a smoothie sounds the most appealing. But I was freezing and cold drinks/food did not sound good. It was the perfect time to taste test one of the new Vega Sport Protein Bar. We taste tested the snack bars as a family. The kids saw me open the box and were so excited to see bars that I couldn’t hoard all of them for myself. The Dark Chocolate Mixed Nuts and Sea Salt was a favorite. I’m kind of bummed I didn’t get to enjoy it all by myself. I’m interested in trying out the Sport Energy Bar for fuel on my long runs. I’m forever in search of the perfect fuel that sits well with my tummy and powers me through. If it’s good enough for Brendan Brazier, maybe it’ll work for me?
