Let’s start this week off right with a GIVEAWAY!
The nice people at Under Armour recently contacted me about doing a review and giveaway for one of their products. I chose the Armour Bra. Did you know the life expectancy of a sports bra is 6 months to 1 year? I’m very guilty of not replacing mine as often as I should. In fact, I think I have some that are at least 8 years old!
Now, I don’t have the largest chest and I’m not the smallest. But I do like to have everything “locked and loaded” when I’m running or doing high impact workouts. I also like the bra to stay in place. Nothing is worse than having to pull and tug at your sports bra while doing burpees or running hill repeats. The Armour Bra was specifically designed for all sizes of breasts with the help of a doctor of women’s biomechanics. It’s sized by band and cup – no small, medium, large – for a better, more comfortable fit.
Here’s the specifics:
- Bonded seams eliminate painful rubbing and chafing
- Removable, molded cups deliver modesty, support, and a streamlined silhouette
- Straps built with UA’s SuperStretch technology that eliminates digging
- Signature Moisture Transport System wicks sweat away from the body
- 4-Way Stretch construction improves range of motion and dries faster
I put the bra to the test during my 11 mile run on Saturday. When I first put it on, I was a little surprised by the back. It has a hook clasp but also a key hole cut out.
It was a little awkward to put on but I figured it out. Immediately I noticed it felt great. Not too much compression. (Have you ever tried to run with a super duper tight compression bra? Not fun!) I also noticed that the material was soft. It reminded me of my favorite running tights.
I took off running and didn’t think about the bra again. At all. No bounce. No adjusting the straps or chest band. Since it was a really wet, rainy day, I thought for sure I’d have chaffing somewhere around the straps or band. Nothing!
I love this sports bra! My only complaint is that it’s expensive. The Armour Bra retails for $57.99. I generally don’t like to pay that much for sports bras. I will, however, keep an eye out for any deals at a cheaper price.
So…How would you like to win your own Armour Bra from Under Armour?
One lucky reader will win an Armour Bra (their choice of size)!
