Happy Monday everyone!
We survived Easter and the Easter Bunny! Today kicks off Laura’s Sugar Detox Challenge and I’m so ready. Especially after there was a mad dash to get all of the Reese’s Peanut Butter eggs gone before today. It’s just not Easter without having at least one of those. I love them way too much!
So bad news everyone. My right knee is acting up again. During my 16 miler it was giving me the same pain as last summer. I’m not sure the marathon is going to happen now.
Haha! April Fool’s!! Just kidding! 😉
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play at least one April Fool’s joke.
This week in marathon training was actually really good! After having an easy week, my legs felt rested and refreshed. And I think I might have found a potential long run fuel option too. Watch the vlog below for details!
Here’s how the week looked:
Sunday: Easy 6.5 miles + yoga
Monday: 55 minute bike trainer + total body strength + core
Tuesday: Tempo run – 1.5 miles warm up, 5 miles @ 8:03, 0.5 miles cool + yoga and core
Wednesday: 50 minute bike trainer + total body strength + yoga
Thursday: Easy 6 miles + yoga + core
Saturday: Long run – 16 miles
This week’s plan has a couple easy runs, a speed session and long run of 20 miles. Bring it on!
