Repairing My Hair with Dove Nutritive Therapy

Over the years I’ve done a LOT of different things with my hair. Growing up I was a tomboy and had short hair that didn’t want to do anything. It was straighter than straight. Then I got the bright idea to get a perm (it was the 80s after all). Worse decision EVER! Did anyone ever get spiral curls from a spiral perm? The most I ever got was a little wave in my hair. Thankfully, I smartened up and never got a perm again. From there I decided to move to playing with color. First it was Sun In. Another lovely 80s product. It fried my hair and turned it into straw. Not the color of straw, the texture. That experience didn’t damage me too much. I still wanted to play with color. For about 16 years I went from blonde, brunette, auburn, green (bad, bad dye job) and a mixture of all three. Needless to say, my hair has seen more than it’s fair share of damage.

I recently was offered the chance to try Dove Nutritive Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner. I was skeptical at first since a lot of conditioners have a tendency to weigh my hair down and make it flat. My first impression of the conditioner is that it smelled really good. Kind of fruity. Once I blew my hair dry, I saw a difference. It was definitely less frizzy and softer. I didn’t need to use nearly as much product to continue to style it.

Dove makes great affordable hair care products. I’m kicking myself for all the years I shelled out mega bucks for salon products when I could have got the same quality from Dove. Every penny counts!
