Picnic in the Park

It’s Wednesday so that could only mean one thing. Let’s talk food! Instead of showing you everything I ate yesterday, I thought I’d share some of my favorites I’m enjoying right now.

Yogurt, granola, chia seeds and fruit are just so perfect together. I love this for breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner. Perfect for summer when you don’t want to eat anything hot!

If I’m going to have ice cream, I want it to be GOOOOD. And this stuff is. The best Ben & Jerry’s by far. We tried this after taking a tour of the B & J factory in Waterbury, VT 5 years ago. It was love at first bite. I’m usually a chocolate lover but this really does taste like an Oatmeal Cookie. It’s very, very hard to find so it’s a special treat when we do get it. It never lasts very long in our house. πŸ™‚

Protein smoothies using Plant Fusion, 1 frozen banana, and 1 cup unsweetened almond milk. Perfect snack to give me fuel whether post workout or whenever.

Every Tuesday during the summer there is a summer children’s concert series in my town. I’ve been trying to make a point of making it down to the park each week so the kids can take in the fun. They both love music and dancing. They also just love watching all the other kids.Β  This week I thought we’d have a little picnic after the concert so we could enjoy being outside a little bit more before nap time.

Spinach Blueberry Muffins, Tortellini Broccoli Salad, cucumbers from the garden, and animal crackers (BTW – Wild Harvest makes the best animal crackers I’ve ever had).

It was a fun little picnic but my vision of us enjoying a leisure lunch on the blanket didn’t even come close to happening. There were just too many things to see and do to stay seated. I, however, did enjoy my lunch outside on the patio AFTER the kiddos went down for their nap. πŸ˜‰

    1. PB flavor – how can you go wrong??? If I could guarantee that the Ben & Jerry’s wouldn’t be soup by the time it got to you, I’d send you some in a heartbeat! πŸ˜‰
