I saw this fun Q & A on Athleta’s chi blog and thought it would be fun to answer My Fit Minute questions.
Whatโs your go-to workout right now?
Right now I’m all about my PT exercises, 15-20 miles of cycling 2-3 x/week, 30-40 minutes of walking 3-4x/week, Ashtanga yoga 4x/week and weights 2-3x/week. I miss running like crazy, but am trying to focus on what I can do at the moment to get back to it.
Do you have any fitness goals youโre working toward?
I’d like to gain strength throughout my whole body. And of course, get back to running.
Are you a rise-and-shine-and-workout kind of girl or do you prefer training in the dark?
What do you think?
Where do you love to get away for the weekend?
This summer we’ve made it a point to designate at least on day on the weekend a Fun Day. A day where we get out and enjoy the fresh air and maybe even play tourist. The beach and wandering on trails are two of my favorites.
Name your top three favorite foods.
- Pizza
- Nut butter
- Oatmeal
How do you like to relax?
To me relaxing is sitting on the beach with my toes in the sand. If that’s not happening a massage, pedicure, facial or anything that pampers me is a close second.
Name something you find utterly inspiring.
People who push their bodies to limits that you never think would be possible. Scott Jurek and the Iron Cowboy are two recent instances that come to mind.
What is the coolest thing no one knows about you?
That I’m not cool?
If you could master anything, what would it be?
I’d love to surf or scuba dive. I’m a classic Pisces – I’m drawn to anything with water. I just need to learn how to swim better and get over my fear of open water.
Your turn! Answer any of the questions in the comments.
Love this! You know that I’m a sucker for a good survey. I love that you all have been designating a fun day on the weekend. I’ve been better about not working on the weekends but still need to work on that. And I’m right there with you on your fitness goal!

I hope so. In still having pain. And I don’t see the foot/ankle specialist till the end of the month. Then I learn my options – surgery or cortisone shot.
Pizza for the win along with toes in the sand AND being uncool ๐ I’m currently trying my best to train for Chicago while suffering my own strange, undiagnosed ailment. It’s fun … not.

These surveys have been fun to read! I’m with you on pizza. It’s just the thing after a busy week. That and a glass of wine..

Fun survey! I hear ya, definitely a rise-and-shine runner, or it just doesn’t get done. For me, relaxing is reading magazines. That makes me feel like I actually have free time. Which I really don’t. Which is why I have piles of magazines at my house. How sad!! ๐

My top three foods are avocados, a bowl of granola, and watermelon. Such a fun survey! I wish I could dip my feet in the cool ocean water too!

Love the beach for relaxing!! Surfing would be so cool, but I think I’ll stick to SUP for now ๐ I hope you get good news at the end of the month. Great job on the cross training!!
Really cool format for a post! Hope you can get back running soon, I noticed a big difference when I was running and lifting compared to when I was just running.
And what is it with fit people and pizza? so many of us love it, there must be something healthy hidden in there!
