It’s no secret I’ve become a Mizuno runner.
There was a time when I pledged my love to Brooks but ever since I got my first pair of Alchemy’s in December, I’m a convert. How could I not? These shoes have taken me through a half marathon (and it’s training) where I achieved a PR. I also set a new PDR last week of 16 miles. I plan on crossing the finish line in September wearing Mizuno’s.
When I heard Mizuno was running a little thing called the Mezamashii Project I was thrilled! Mezamashii means “brilliant” in Japanese. Mizuno wants everyone to experience a brilliant run. Remember my experience with lululemon run design meeting? They wanted the customers input. REAL people, not professional athlete’s. That’s what I love about the Mezamashii Project. Mizuno wants runners (Mizuno lovers or not) testing out their shoes and essentially providing advertising. Not machines testing the flexibility and comfort but actual runners. No big billboards with a celebrity holding their shoe. Real runners. Pretty cool, huh?
Of course, I’d love to be a part of this project and have applied for an invite. I’m still waiting (hint, hint Mizuno 🙂 ) for a response. So if you think this is my pathetic plea to be a part of the Mezamashii Project, you would be absolutely correct. 🙂

Oh! I almost forgot to add that I’m linking up with Brittany today from A Healthy Slice of Life for Munchkin Meals. She recently started this fun Thursday party. It’s like What I Ate Wednesday (WIAW) but the kids edition. I try to feed my kids essentially what I am eating. However, I know I am always curious what other parents are feeding their kids so I thought I’d join in. Here’s partially what my little munchkins ate yesterday.
Kodiak Cake pancakes with shredded zucchini in the batter, yogurt on top and organic berries and bananas on the side. Organic peaches. Butternut Squash Mini-Muffins (recipe will be up soon!). PB sandwich with carrots and pineapple on the side. (*One little munchkin couldn’t wait to eat so this is only part of their lunch. The pineapple is already gone.)
I missed taking pics of dinner. Opps! We had homemade pizza loaded with green peppers, broccoli and mushrooms.
