Meal Planning: Week of November 18

Hey friends!

It’s Thanksgiving week! Eeeeek! How did that happen?

When I sat down to plan out this weeks meals I also started thinking about what we’d do for Thanksgiving. We aren’t visiting any family and they aren’t coming to us, so it’s just the four of us. As a semi-vegetarian family, turkey isn’t going to be on our table. No one is a fan. And forget about Tofurkey. Not going to happen. I prefer all the side dishes anyway. Hello sweet potatoes! I started a Thanksgiving board on Pinterest and now have to pick and choose what sounds the best.

Here’s what I’ve got planned for the rest of the week:

Sunday: Ron’s homemade pizza. He’s the pizza making KING! 😉

Monday: Breakfast for dinner. It’s the norm for a Monday night.

Tuesday: Tortilla Bean Soup in the Crock Pot

Wednesday: Leftovers

Thursday: Check out my Pinterest board for some ideas. One thing that is not on there is Whipped Sweet Potatoes w/ Nuts. I’m not sure where I got the recipe but it’s my favorite. Sooooo good!

Friday: LEFTOVERS!!!

Saturday: Dinner out

As you can see, I’m not too inspired to cook too much this week other than for Thanksgiving. There will be more than enough of that on Thursday. 😉

I’m linking up with Laura and Jill for more What’s For Dinner? Meal Planning.

What are you having for dinner this week?

  1. Looks good! We weren’t planning on a traditional Thanksgiving meal, just finger foods, but my sister invited us over so we’ll go to her house and bring some sides. For us this week involves a lot of eating out. We’re leaving in a little while to drive South 4 hours to where we moved from in August to finish everything with the court & insurance company to settle the accident we were in last Nov. We’ll be there until Tuesday morning, so we’ll have 2 full days of eating out.

Tuesday dinner we’ll have black bean & cheese quesadillas.
Wednesday is spaghetti, salad & garlic bread.
Thursday is meal with my sister.
Friday is our regular homemade pizza night.
Saturday will most likely be out again. We need to do furniture shopping Saturday. I’m hoping there’s some Black Friday weekend sales for us.
