I think I covered all the bases, right?
Did you watch the Olympic Trials yesterday? What a race! I’m happy to see Amy win. You never know what can happen on race day.
Any plans for Valentine’s Day?
We are starting the day with THESE pancakes. Nothing says I love you like pink pancakes and sprinkles.
We were supposed to be headed up to the mountains for ski/board club for the kids. Last week we lucked out with amazingly perfect winter weather. Sunshine and temps in the mid 30s = playing all day long in the snow. Today, not so much. The high is predicted to be 10 degrees and wind chills way below zero. Ski/Board Club is cancelled for today.
My initial reaction was to say, “When I was a kid, we would go outside to play/ski/skate no matter what the temperature was! Kids these days!” But then I realized that I don’t want to be outside in that either so I’m ok with the decision to cancel.
Do I sound like an old curmudgeon when I throw out the “When I was a kid” sentence? Can you picture me shaking my cane too? When did I become this “old” person?
Anyway, our only plan for today is to stay warm.

Sunday: Make your own heart shaped pizza
Monday: School event
Tuesday: Crockpot Roasted Whole Chicken + Veggies
Wednesday: Mega Egg and Veggie Bowls
Thursday: Beef and Bean Cornbread Bake
Saturday: Homemade Tomato Soup + Avocado Sandwiches
