Meal Planning { Week of February 14}

I Love Running -

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Sunday Runday!

Happy Meal Planning Day!

I think I covered all the bases, right?

Did you watch the Olympic Trials yesterday? What a race! I’m happy to see Amy win. You never know what can happen on race day.

Any plans for Valentine’s Day?

We are starting the day with THESE pancakes. Nothing says I love you like pink pancakes and sprinkles.

Pink Pancakes w Greek Yogurt and Warm Berries

We were supposed to be headed up to the mountains for ski/board club for the kids. Last week we lucked out with amazingly perfect winter weather. Sunshine and temps in the mid 30s = playing all day long in the snow. Today, not so much. The high is predicted to be 10 degrees and wind chills way below zero. Ski/Board Club is cancelled for today.

My initial reaction was to say, “When I was a kid, we would go outside to play/ski/skate no matter what the temperature was! Kids these days!” But then I realized that I don’t want to be outside in that either so I’m ok with the decision to cancel.

Do I sound like an old curmudgeon when I throw out the “When I was a kid” sentence? Can you picture me shaking my cane too? When did I become this “old” person?

Anyway, our only plan for today is to stay warm.

What’s for dinner this week?

  1. Avocado sandwiches… that sounds good! Whenever we have a tomato based soup… I always crave grilled cheese (and I don’t do dairy, but I have these childhood memories…). Anyways, avocado sandwiches sound perfect!
