Happy weekend everyone!
I’d love to say our weekend was going well over here but it started off with my daughter losing her beloved stuffie kitty, Chloe, on Friday night on our walk home from school. We live only a couple of blocks from school but by the time we figured out she was missing, she was already no where to be found. Needless to say Miss A is pretty bummed out. And on top of it, she has the stomach flu!
Chloe has been her constant companion since getting her for Christmas 4 years ago. We always said Chloe had 9 lives – she was thrown in the garbage at the pediatrician’s office and we didn’t realize it till we got home and she was run over by numerous cars on a highway in Burlington, VT – but I think this might be the last we saw of her. I’m very hopeful that someone will turn her into the lost and found at school but that’s a big stretch. We all miss Chloe!
It’s Sunday so that means meal planning day. Is anyone else amazed that it’s Thanksgiving on Thursday? Wasn’t it just the 4th of July?
What’s for dinner this week?
Sunday: Roasted salmon + Apple Cranberry Walnut Salad
Monday: Egg and avocado sandwiches
Tuesday: Black Bean and Butternut Squash Enchilada Casserole
Wednesday: Homemade pizza
Saturday: Dinner out – I’m sure I’ll be sick of leftovers and food by then!
