I know I say this every week but I can’t believe how time is flying! Only a few more weeks of Marathon Monday posts. It’s hard to believe that Vermont City Marathon is less than 4 weeks away. I’m beginning my last week of high mileage before it’s time to taper. Crazy!
Week 11 was a different kind of week. I usually do my long runs on Saturday however for the past two weeks, I’ve done a race on Sunday instead. Two Sundays of essentially speed work (and two PRs) wiped me out! I’ve got a speed session on the plan for Tuesday but I think I’ll skip it and do a tempo later in the week. Does that sound logical? Suggestions?
And here’s how it all looked on paper:
Sunday: Red’s Race, 5 miles + 2 miles for warm up
Monday: Bike trainer 55 minutes + total body strength
Tuesday: Easy 7 miles + yoga
Wednesday: Bike trainer 55 minutes + total body strength
Thursday: Easy 6 miles + yoga
Sunday: Wallis Sands Half Marathon + 2 miles
On to the last week of high mileage! Wa-hoo!
