This month we are covering last minute gifts for runners.

Anyone else super last minute with their holiday shopping? Can you see me?  I’m raising my hand way up high. I try to do it early but I usually end up distracted by shopping for myself. Whoops. Besides, I like to think that I do well under pressure.

But that means I have a very thorough list of Last Minute Gifts for Runners. These are all things you can get in time for Christmas if you have Amazon Prime – they have free 2 day shipping, which is AMAZING.  If you don’t have it, I think you can sign up for a 30 day free trial.  Do it!  If you don’t have Prime, you can also find most of these items at a running specialty store or big box athletic store near you.

So without further ado, happy shopping!

FYI – this post contains affiliate links where I get a very small commission.  Thanks for supporting HFM!

From top, left to right:

Athleta Stripe Contender 7/8 Tight – I just got these on Cyber Monday and I think I’ve mentioned them every week on the blog since then.  I’m a little peeved that they are now on sale CHEAPER than the Cyber Monday deal.  If they came in more than one color, I’d be buying another right now.  The stripes are adorable and the fit is primo.  If you’ve been eyeing them, scoop up a pair now!

GoPro Hero 6 – I’m late to the GoPro game but I’ve wanted one for awhile.  And I have a feeling there might be one under my tree with my name on it this year. If it is, I have to prove to my son that I AM in fact cool enough to have one.  Thanks, buddy.

Strong – If you are looking for different exercises to mix up your strength routine, this book has great ideas.  It’s also a great resource for ladies who are intimidated by weights.  I first checked it out from my library and eventually bought the book because I like the exercises so much.  I highly recommend it!

Goodr Sunglasses – Finding good sunglasses for running is a pain.  Sometimes cheap-o freebies will work.  Other times, you end up with foggy lenses that bounce while running.  Annoying for sure!  I’ve become a little obsessed with Goodr sunnies this year.  I don’t feel too bad about the obsession since they only are $25. FYI – Goodr will replace your lenses for free if they start to scratch or peel. Love that!

Petzel Actik Headlamp – I really loved my old Petzel headlamp.  But it disappeared after a camping trip over the summer so I had to buy a new one.  Even though my old headlamp was only a couple of years old, the technology has changed quite a bit.  My new Petzel Actik is super bright with 3 settings.  My friend thought I was a car one morning as I ran up to her because it was so bright. It’s perfect for all your running in the dark needs.

Mini Bands – A couple of years ago, my Physical Therapist suggested I get mini bands for home.  I owned regular size bands but never thought I needed mini bands.  I was missing out!  These little bands are awesome for hitting the glutes and hips with endless exercise options like THESE I’ve been doing the past few weeks.

Kahtoola Microspikes – I think these made my list from last year.  Microspikes are great for hiking in snow but are also perfect for trail running when the snow isn’t too deep or there’s ice.  I’ve worn my running across shear ice with great traction.

Recovery Tools – I swear by my foam roller, The Stick, and other recovery tools I own.  My nightly routine consists of some foam rolling and Ron torturing my calves with The Stick.  Lol!  It hurts but it’s necessary.

Run Fast. Cook Fast. Eat Slow – I really don’t use cookbooks.  The majority of my recipes are things thrown together or stuff I pull off the internet.  This cookbook is one I actually use.  Some of our favorites are the Super Hero Muffins, Peanut Butter Cups, Pasta and Sardines and Turkey Trot Meatballs.  Simple recipes with simple ingredients.

Down For It All Vest – I’ve been searching for a warm vest for winter running but have found items that are either too light or too puffy.  This vest is perfect – slimming yet there’s enough room underneath for thicker layers.  And the pockets are big enough to stuff my phone in without having it bounce all over place and annoy me.

It’s a small Just Run crew today because of all the holiday festivities. Be sure to check out what Laura recommends below for last minute gifts for runners.

Linking up with Coaches Corner and Wild Workout Wednesday.

What’s on your gift wish list this year?

  1. I have similar Athleta tights and I absolutely love them too! As for Goodr sunglasses? I lost count! They are hands down THE BEST! I refuse to buy the cookbook because I know I will never make anything out of it (fail!) and I’m seriously considering that vest because it seems like a go-to lately for me and I only have light fabric ones…
Merry Christmas my friend!! I hope you get that GoPro!!

  2. I love giving my running buddies running books, training journals or cookbooks. Luckily I have Amazon Prime so I definitely take advantage of that two-day shipping, lol

  3. I got most of what I asked for really but you just reminded me to snag a few gifts for some runner friends! The sunglasses are a really good idea!

  4. I see quite a few things that I’d love to add to my list! I’m desperate for a new pair of sunglasses. My pair is getting chipped and gross, but I love them so much. Thanks for sharing!
