It’s the last day of January…hallelujah!
I’ve said it before but this month is the pits. Every single year it never fails. While nothing horrendous happened this year, it just has the ‘meh’ vibe. The kids were sick, I was crabby and it was just way too darn cold. I’m over it and ready for February. At least it’s a short month and brings us closer to daylight savings time and Spring. Positive thinking is in full effect right now!
Here’s 6 of my favorite posts from the month. Feel free to catch up on any that you missed.
I’m working hard on finding that perfect balance. I’ve cut back on posting unless I have something to say. I’ve also started using an editorial calendar to organize posts. I am proud to report that I have read 2 whole books this month and in the midst of Tyler Hamilton’s book, The Secret Race! My goal for the year was 6 so I’m almost there!
After a few mild winters, it’s been nice to get out and enjoy the outdoors as a family so far this season. Packing a 30+ pound kiddo and pack is a serious workout!
My 5 Favorite Treadmill Workouts
With the snow and icy weather and lack of an early morning running buddy, I’ve been stuck on the treadmill more than I care to. My 5 favorite treadmill workouts that beat the dreadmill!
I’d love to join my local box but it just isn’t feasible right now. Till it is, I’ll be doing my own WOD at home.
Blueberry Lemon Chia Seed Mini Muffins
Blueberries and lemons are a tasty combination. Add my favorite Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk and Chia Seeds and you’ve got a nutritional powerhouse.
The post where I run outside when it’s 8 degrees and start a new fashion trend – frosty eyelashes and eyebrows.

As someone who despises winter, the end of January always makes me happy, too! You had a good month, though, even with sick kids and the blahs. And you ended on a high note with your knee, a big bonus!

I’m with you; kicking January to the curb!
It’s always been my least favourite month of the year; too long, cold and dreary!

I can not complain about our weather, because we have had a mild winter, but, as we happened upon a few 70 degree days last week, it does make me excited for spring….and rummaging in my gardens!
Fun recap!

Funny, now that I look back on it our month of January was about the same. We were all sick, I had some major crabby moments (including yesterday when I went on a tyrant!) and I’m so ready for February! Luckily the weather is supposed to be great today and I’m in a much better mood. Hopefully I’ll end the month on a good note!

Oh, yes… January is my least favorite month, too. Nothing to look forward to except the end of winter, which is so far off! February WILL be better.
