Happy High Five Friday!
5 from Instagram – I share more pics on Instagram and Instagram Stories. Are you following me? Please do!
1 ) Confession: I’m afraid of running in the dark. At least right now. I’m so afraid that I’m going to roll my ankle on a pot hole or tiny pebble at zero dark thirty that I move my runs to later in the day. Which isn’t a bad thing since I get to enjoy the sunshine and warmer temps.
3 ) It’s funny that I run by this spot on almost all of my runs but that moment made me think, “That would make a great place for a photo.” And it did.
4 ) I’ve been taking it easy on the upper body strength training this week because of a pinched nerve in my neck. Lower body is where it’s at! If you want some strength training ideas, check out THIS post.
5 ) There’s just something about that November sunshine.
5 good reads
1 ) I Am Over Overtraining – I have loved following Jess in her journey back to running. And I am overjoyed to see her happy and thriving again.
2 ) Surges are the Do Everything Running Workout – Give your next run a boost by adding surges. It’s a fun way to mix it up and add a little intensity without being too crazy.
3 ) Do You Ever Get Weirdly Sentimental During Long Runs? – I get this quite often! And I always tear up at the start of a race of any distance. I think it’s the combination of very emotion possible that makes me so happy to be out doing what I love.
4 ) TMI Tuesday: Most Embarrassing Running Moments – This had me LOL. Thankfully, I’ve never had a code brown but I have had some very close calls. Or bloody nipples. Ouch!
5 ) This isn’t a read but rather a listen. I love Billy Yang’s films and now I’m loving his podcast. Especially the one with Magdalena Boulet. Give it a listen and be inspired to never give up.
