High Five Friday

High Five Friday October 13 2017 happyfitmama.comHappy High Five Friday!

5 from Instagram

1 ) A few of my favorite things – blue skies and trees turning brilliant shades of orange, yellow and orange.

2 ) How cute is this t-shirt from Gone for a Run?  It’s the perfect running shirt for October to say I’m faster than boo!  You can get it for 15% off with code FITMAMA15 at checkout.  Be sure to look at their headbands too.  So cute and a great accessory for any Halloween races.  My daughter promptly stole my jack-o lantern headband.

3 ) I prefer to walk around with my head in the clouds.

4 ) Oh fall.  You sure are pretty.

5 ) TRX push ups – love ’em or hate ’em?

5 Good Reads

1 ) Rich Roll on How to Sustain Peak Performance – You may be familiar with Rich Roll from his podcast or because he’s a pretty amazing athlete.  He’s 50 years old and crushing his competitors.  Read this and pick up some of his tidbits of wisdom.

2 ) Woman Sparks Outrage by Taking a Knee at the Gym – How come this didn’t make the National news?  I can always count on Dumb Runner for a laugh.

3 ) Starting From Scratch – Sometimes we want to go big or go home.  Sometimes that works out.  And if you set your mind to finish something, that may be all you need.

4 ) Pushing Myself Physically Helped Me Heal After My Son’s Death – I can’t even begin to imagine what it is like to lose a child. I love to hear stories of people who find physical activity as a way to heal the heart.  And running is always good for helping to sort out ALL the feelings…at least for me.

5 ) Who Cares Where You Run? – Can I get a collective YASSSSS from everyone?  It shouldn’t matter where you run.  Run wherever you like!  I have never understood this “war”.  I love social media at times but sometimes it bugs the crap out of me and brings out the worst in people.

What would you like to High 5 today?

Looking forward to reading your picks this week – especially the one from Rich Roll as I am feeling every bit like a masters athlete these days! *groan*
