1 ) The brightest sunrise greeted me on my Thursday morning run. It was blinding. And made me unbelievably happy.
2 ) Dirt paths make me happy too. Especially when enjoyed with friends.
3 ) Icing on the cake when I spotted this sunrise as I was heading to the yoga studio for the Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutations on Wednesday.
4 ) Cooper comes along when we walk the kids to school in the morning. Everyday the Vice Principal gives Cooper a doggie treat. This was Cooper’s treat on the last day of school. Cooper pranced all the way home carrying his new bone. Isn’t that awesome?
5 ) For the past 7 years, we’ve recreated our first family picture on the kids’ birthday (it’s the first pic in my post from Wednesday). I don’t know how much longer it’s going to happen. I better hit the weights hard this year in prep for year 8!

1 ) How Exercise Shapes You, Far Beyond the Gym – I’m preaching to the choir on this on, but research has proven that exercise makes you a better person. “When you develop physical fitness, you’re developing life fitness, too.” Why isn’t everyone exercising?!?!
2 ) The Change We Cannot See – A change will do you good. Whether it’s logging miles on the road or the trails. Seeing thing from a different perspective makes everything clearer.
3 ) Why I Appreciate the Pain in My Right Foot – I can’t say that I appreciate any pain from an injury that I’ve had but this perspective makes me look at it in a different way.
4 ) Where Courage Lives – I love, love, love this post from Jess. So often we define courage as going above and beyond, pushing the limits to the edge. But sometimes we are at our most courageous when we are in the middle.
5 ) Patience: A Hard Rock to Carry – As someone who has been on the injury train more times than I care to be, you would think I’ve learned the patience it takes to get back to healthy running. I’m always learning. And this article puts it into great perspective.
