High Five Friday

High Five Friday June 2 2017 happyfitmama.com

Hello High Five Friday!

Today marks the 150th High Five Friday post.  That’s a lot of high 5’s!

It’s been a short work week for me but I am so glad to see Friday. I need the weekend to catch up on everything at home.

5 from Instagram – I share more pics on Instagram and Instagram Stories.  Are you following me?  Please do!

1 ) Morning yoga on the dock.  There’s nothing better than water and a sunrise. Unless it’s a runrise.

2 ) Ron and I rarely have pictures taken with just us.  It was strange to have people offer to take photos of just us together last weekend.  My first remark when I saw this photo?  How did we get so old looking?!?!

3 ) Giggling at myself for “trying” to be sly taking selfies at the gym.  #tool

4 ) My crew at Sleeping Bear Dunes.

5 ) A canopy of green. I love this time of year!

5 Good Reads

Return to the Mountains – I found myself shaking my head in agreement that the trails feel more like “home” to me than the roads.  It seems like an easier place to find yourself rather than to get lost.

Woman Immediately Regrets Asking Date if He’s Ever Run a Marathon – I was LOLing the whole time reading this.  So funny. And so very true!

Chronic Running Injuries: 9 Ways to Cope – By now, you would think I’d be able to write the largest book on coping with running injuries.  I feel like I have a black cloud over my head.  I fully agree with these tips and even picked up a couple of new tactics.

This Motivational Trick is Incredibly Powerful – I’ve had this article bookmarked for awhile.  The premise is simple – How do you feel the first minute of every single of your day?  What follows makes you think about how you treat your body every single day and how you feel that first minute of every single day for the rest of your life.  Do you want to feel good or do you want to feel like crap?

25 Helpful Running Articles – Tina is a wealth of knowledge.  Lucky for us, she packed in the most helpful running articles in one post.  Go soak up all that info!

What would you like to High 5 today?

    1. I’ve been feeling old lately because there’s been so much OLD talk in my face. And then when I see the gray in Ron’s hair…thankfully I don’t have any of that. Yet. 🙂

  2. Love that pic of you on the doc! Going to have to check out a few of those links you shared, my motivation has been running low lately! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  3. I think that picture of you and the hubs is great! I was doing a ton of yoga, but it was aggravating my Si joint (thanks body) so I’m taking a little break from it for the week. have a great weekend!
