High Five Friday

Hello lovely Friday!

It’s wonderful as always to see you. Let’s start slapping some skin ’cause it’s High Five Friday!

  • Post naptime snuggles with my little guy. He’s my snuggle bunny.
  • Making running progress AND I didn’t need to wear a winter hat!
  • Still reading Christmas stories in March.
  • Forward fold/Rag doll. Best stretch after running on the treadmill. My back feels so tight after running on the treadmill compared to outside.
  • Massaged kale, roasted butternut squash and salmon. Delicious!

  1. Love the “thankful” instagram photo! I also read about SELF – so lame indeed. And, of course, I saw the twin thing and LOVE it. Must read about stealing stuff – sounds like it’s my kind of read 🙂
I’m giving a high five to a dinner and wine date with my bestie tonight!!! It’s been a long week and we need a night off!

  2. Yeah, that tutu story is pretty awful, especially for a fitness magazine!! Oh dear, I bet someones head rolled for that one 😛 Cant believe #HappyFitMarch is over already, but loved following your progress. I am going to yoga in a few hours, perfect start to a friday 🙂

I would like to Hi Five my friend Lauren who ran 2:28 in the marathon a few weeks ago, and is representing the USA in the World Half Marathon Championships this weekend in Copenhagen! So cool, and she definitely earned it!

  3. I hadn’t heard that story about the bandit posting selfies during the race. I want to high 5 all those commenters who put her in her place! If only she’d paid for the race, it might have actually been funny.

And I want to high 5 all the runners who brought SELF magazine to its knees for the tutu story. While I’m not a tutu kind of gal, to ask a runner to submit a photo and publish is with the intent of ridicule is beyond rude. I left SELF magazine years ago while they were still publishing cigarette ads. When I wrote a letter to the editor about it, I got a snarky remark. Nope.

  5. I just read the whole story of the tutu article and I really was upset. I had no idea they contacted her and misled her about the premise of the use of the picture. That’s even more upsetting. What a stupid move on Self’s part. If you don’t have anything nice to say…DON”T SAY IT!

  6. I went crazy of the tutu story-stuck up jack asses-ugh, I don’t want to get ugly, but this story really bothered me… bullies make me angry.

As for the twins facts, I nearly spit my drink out on #5 (Mothers of spontaneous twins live longer) Oh please no- let me go early.

  7. I have been lagging the past couple of days for the challenge – not sure why because they were great ones!!
Loved reading the facts about twins. Did you know that boy/girl twins can be identical? It is very rare and the female usually has some mental delay. (my twin brother likes to say that is my problem – haha!)
