High Five Friday

Happy Spring!

Happy Friday!

It’s been a long week and I’m so ready for the weekend to just chill and not deal with a lot of junk. Sorry to be cryptic but some things can’t be shared here. πŸ™‚

Let’s start slapping some skin for high five Friday!

5 from instagram 32114 HappyFitMama.com

  • Taking 5 minutes to meditate in the sunshine.
  • First time trying Ben and Jerry’s Core. It’s so gross. Said no one ever!
  • Recently got my first fix through Stitch Fix. Having my own personal stylist pick out clothes for me so I don’t have to go to the dreaded mall? What’s not to love? I kept two pieces and scheduled another fix for May. I highly recommend it! If interested in getting your own fix, you can sign up using my referral code: https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/3178030
  • The first day of spring and I’m still running on the treadmill. Blech.
  • What’s not blech? Cocoa Strawberry Oats. Best breakfast in a long time.

5 Things

  • Runner’s Selfie Fun at #NYCHalf – This girl is brilliant!
  • 13 Yoga Pet Peeves – #13 bothers me for any class not just yoga.
  • Why Oiselle? – In case you haven’t heard, Kara Goucher is now running with Oiselle. I loved her before and now I love her even more after reading WHY she chose this unconventional route when she could have gone anywhere. I can’t wait to see the big things coming between this collaboration!
  • The Year’s Best Half Marathons – I love this distance! I think I want to run every single one of these races. I’ll be doing #13, Zooma Cape Cod, in September. You can too! Use this discount code, CCAMB3 for 10% off either distance. It’s going to be FUN!
  • 5 Foam Rolling Mistakes to Avoid – Read this and start rolling the right way!

It’s hard to believe that we just finished up week 3 of #HappyFitMarch! Just over one week left. Let’s finish strong!

  1. Things have to improve on a Friday night mama!!!
I love Oiselle and I’m hoping to run for them this Spring.
Also LOVE the half-marathon selfie girl – hysterical.
I’m high fiving today because it’s MY BIRTHDAY!!!! woot woot!!!

  2. You have me very intrigued about the stich fix, I looked it up, and I LOVE the idea! That is so cool! I am so bad at picking out clothes….well normal/non running ones anyway! Once I have some money behind me, I will definitely give that a try!

I had no idea about Kara! That is really cool, I have heard so much about Oiselle, and I know Lauren (Fleshman) is really into them too! Love it! I am staying loyal to my saucony (especially as I JUST signed a new year contract), but maybe someday πŸ™‚

I would like to Hi Five my friends who became All-Americans last weekend at Nationals! Such a big achievement πŸ™‚

    Have a wonderful Friday!

  3. We must be on the same ice cream wavelength because after MONTHS of not craving or caring for ice cream, I had to run out Tuesday night to the grocery store to find something cold & creamy. I ended up with Haagen Dazs’ Rocky Road. A childhood favorite, but I’ve never had the high quality stuff… it was SO SO SO good. I sense a problem developing…..

I hope your weekend is better than your week was!

  5. OMG the NYC Half selfie is amazingly brilliant. I wish I thought of that!!! I was so excited to hear that Kara is joining Oiselle. It’s so awesome. I want to see what you got in your stitch fix. After wearing the same freaking bulking sweaters and warm clothes for what feels like forever, I’m so sick of all my clothes!! Happy Happy Friday!

  6. So you know Balt. makes that half list, right? Come on down!

I am so excited to try StitchFix–you need to share some pics of what you got!

I love that Kara Goucher and Oiselle are going to work together. So nice to see an elite joining up for the love of it.

  7. Loved the NYC half selfies!! I love to see people having fun at a race instead of always trying to get the next pr. Sometimes you just need to make these races fun! Have a great weekend!

  8. wishing you a “junk-less” weekend! I need some ice cream and I think I am going to try Stitch Fix. Everyone keeps talking about it. I hate shopping. I am known to pull into the parking lot of the mall and turn around and go home.

If we meet you can have my ice cream!
Thanks for linking my picture – the wine was a much needed treat (maybe you will have a glass this weekend?!).
Sad that we only have a few weeks left in the challenge – do you have an April one??
