Happy High Five Friday!

This Friday is even better than usual. I’m headed out to Vermont for a weekend of farm hopping with Stonyfield. It’s going to be a blast and so informative too. Sunrise beach running with Katie. It was so fun to meet another Blend (blog + friend if you were wondering what that means!). I took her for a 4 miler along one of my favorite routes on the seacoast.

Stonyfield sent a goodie box with the cutest cards this past week. It made my excitement grow even more for the farm tours.

Running doesn’t get easier. You just get stronger. That line popped into my head a few times while doing 8 x 2:00 Fartleks on Tuesday morning. It’s so true!

Last Friday I attended an Inversion Yoga Workshop and learned some new to me poses to play around with. I kind of am digging the forearm handstand. Now to work on letting my toes get off the wall longer than 2.2 seconds!

10 miles of blue skies along a route I haven’t run in 2 years. I forgot how much I like it! Lots of rolling hills with some dirt thrown in for good measure. It’s the perfect route for training for the Leaf Peepers Half Marathon that we are running as part of Rise.Run.Retreat.

Andrew Drummond’s White Mountain Direttissima – This local NH guy completed the White Mountain Direttissima (Italian for most direct route) and aired it all on social media. It was awesome to follow along and see his progress. You should follow him on Instagram too. He posts some rad pics!

I’ve listened to the first 3 and they kept me listening and wanting to join in on the conversation. Check it out!

How to Be a Role Model for Girls – In a world where a lot of girls don’t know who to look up to or how to act properly, we need more women to stand up and show them how it’s done. Not only if you have a daughter. Be a role model for all girls.

Declaration of Confidence – This post from Sarah is spot on. You are control of your confidence. Don’t let ANYTHING tell you otherwise. This -> “Don’t waste it letting lies run the show. It’s time we stop lying to ourselves. It’s time to make a declaration of confidence”.

Apple Adds More Gender Diverse Emoji’s – FINALLY! Although, if I’m being picky, did it have to be a woman runner with her hair down? Who runs like that???

    I’m not sure what to think about the Instagram “stories” and have yet to do one. I’m sure I’ll just jump onto the bandwagon late…

  2. Your weekend with Stonyfield sounds so fun! I thought the same thing about the female runner emoji—excited, but you can tell it wasn’t designed by a female runner because no one runs with hair that long down. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
