You know one thing that is really good? When it’s the week following a long holiday weekend. I could get used to a 4 day work week. Friday comes along very, very quickly!

One of my all time favorite yoga poses. It feels 1000x better post run.

There’s a small park that I run by on occasion that has trails. I always like to pop in there for some soft dirt running mixed in with the roads.

I usually leave one of my yoga mats in the back of my car since I go to class quite a few times a week. It’s convenient but not necessarily the best thing for it. With a furry chocolate lab that frequently rides back there, sand from beach days and mud from running up Gunstock on Monday, my mat wasn’t too fresh. But now it is thanks to Mat Mist. It’s got a subtle scent with no funky harsh ingredients. It’s good for other things too. Like the furry chocolate lab’s bed.

New Emojis Debuting this Month – I love emojis. And the new ones don’t disappoint. Face palm? Love it!

Why Should You Should Stop Comparing Yourself to Others – Absolutely. In my teens and 20s, I wasted so much time doing this. I think age helps with realizing that it is indeed, a waste of time. The earlier you learn it, the better.

Switched Turned On. Or off. Which ever. –  FYI – there’s a video at the beginning of this post so you might want to turn down your speakers. That is unless you want to hear the wind. The dog in the video has it right – take a seat in the flowers, sniff the wind, and take it all in.

Vermont City Marathon Recap – While I don’t think this is good news, I think Carly and all others who were stopped at VCM, should be proud of what they did accomplish. VCM and I have a bad history. In fact, I know a TON of people who do. And now I know even more. It sucks. I understand why it was called – it was freaking hot and they were running out of water – but it still sucks.

Are You a Strength Training Baby? – After listening to this Runners Connect podcast, I realized that I need to either rejoin a gym or get a strength coach. I lift but I know I could go heavier. I’d gladly do it at home, but I don’t have the equipment. Listen to this podcast and you’ll be convinced that you need to lift more too!
