High Five Friday

High 5 Friday April 15 2016 happyfitmama.com

Happy High Five Friday!

Want to get in on spreading good vibes from your week? You can find all the details HERE.

5 from Instagram – I share more pics on Instagram. Are you following me? Please do!

My first #runrise in a very, very, very long time. Always worth it. Always.

I run for fresh air. I run to smile. I run to work hard. I run to breathe. I run to find me.

Trying to be bright on a rainy day.

I got a hole in my “holey” jeans. It’s like sewing a hole in your “holey” jeans that you spent mega $$ on just for the holes – Isn’t it ironic? Don’t ya think?

I love this stretch after a run. Always hits the spot.

5 Things

What I See When I See Me – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post from Sarah. I think it will resonate with each and every person who reads it. If you only read one thing from today’s High 5 – read this one.

Mirror, Mirror: On Photos and Social Media – Inspired by Sarah’s post, Christine shares her own story. We all have that voice that pops up randomly.  Love this message – > “But it’s important to stay mindful of the power of photos and social media can have and the power that we allow them to have in our lives. And to remind ourselves that there’s a whole life outside of that one snapshot image.”

I’ll Have Another Podcast: Laura Anderson – I finally got around to listening to the first I’ll Have Another Podcast. After meeting both Lindsey and Laura for the first time last fall, I can honestly tell you that the podcast is exactly like sitting at a bar, having drinks and talking running. Adding another favorite podcast to my ever growing list!

Working Out Shouldn’t Hurt and Your Diet Shouldn’t Be Miserable – Absolutely, freakin’ yes. If you are hurting, aching and just plain miserable all.the.time. – why are you doing it? This advice is the best -> “You simply can’t become the best version of yourself if you’re constantly tearing yourself down”.

People Who Are Epically Winning at Life – Just for laughs. And you will laugh at the ridiculousness of it.

  2. So happy to be back and linking up with you on this gorgeous Friday! I love seeing all your bright and shiny photos! And thanks for sharing my post too. It’s amazing how much we all think about body image and self-confidence/self-doubt. I have to check out Lindsey’s podcast! It sounds like exactly what I need to listen to. Happy weekend!

  3. I’m cracking up over the holey jeans! My Mother can’t stand the “holey jean look” because she said that when she was little, they had to wear holey jeans because they were so poor. Even though I’m a big girl (LOL) I still can NOT wear ripped jeans in front of her without feeling guilty. I’m glad to hear that you fixed the hole in ripped jeans! Love you and your humor. Enjoy this day and weekend.

  4. Good to be here reading your blog tonight. it is rare for me these days but I’m hoping to be back in the blog world a bit more again. Thanks for linking to some reads worth the look!
