Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Giveaway!

In the past 6 months I made the switch from organic skim milk to unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I had been hearing a lot about it from others so I thought I’d give it a try. I thought I’d miss dairy milk but I don’t. In fact, I like the extra creaminess and flavor almond milk has.Β  I usually buy my local grocery store’s brand of natural almond milk. However, I was recently given the opportunity to sample Blue Diamond Almond Breeze new Almond Milk Coconut Milk Blend as part of the Moms Meet blogger program.

This was my first time trying a shelf stable almond milk. I usually buy from the refrigerator case just because it comes in a bigger container and is cheaper. I’m not a huge coconut flavor fan so I was a little hesitant about it. I first tried it in my regular morning oatmeal. It gave me the same results I usually get but I didn’t notice any coconut flavor. I have also had it in plain cereal. That was the only time I really tasted the coconut. Even so, I liked the taste. I’m really on a big smoothie kick right now so I mixed up a few variations with it. Yesterday morning I made a smoothie in a bowl (or smoothie soup as I called it).

Delicious! Except wouldn’t you know that I choose to make a cold smoothie on the morning that it was only 55 degrees outside. I was an ice cube while eating it! I’ll have to remember that for a great post run refuel.

I would definitely recommend trying Almond Breeze Almond Coconut Milk. It has the all the taste and consistency of regular almond milk but with a subtle coconut flavor.

  1. I love smoothies! I can’t choose just one ingredient! I love sneaking spinach into smoothies, also enjoy greek yogurt in my smoothies. Peanut Butter is probably my favorite thing…especially when paired with dark chocolate.

  2. I’ve yet to try the almond coconut blend. We get the unsweetened vanilla almond though. It’s a staple in the household. I don’t drink smoothies often to be honest. But definitely use the almond milk and usually banana and protein powder.

  3. My favorite smoothie addition is bananas. But I also love adding peanut butter. Even if it doesn’t go and it’s just a tiny little bit. I feel like it’s even more of a treat!

  4. I add almond milk to my smoothies, I also love to add whatever fresh or frozen fruit I have on hand. I buy the Hannaford’s store brand off the shelf and it’s yummy!

  5. whhheee I use their coconut almond blend daily!! Let’s see so besides that my favorite ingredient has actually become a drop of stevia. I can turn any odd smoothie around

  6. My usual morning smoothie is iced coffee, vanilla protein powder, frozen berries, and vanilla Chobani. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of cocoa powder. Horrible mistake this morning- made it without the protein powder- yuck!

  7. I haven’t tried that one, but I love the blue diamond plain almond milk! My favorite smoothie ingredient is probably a bit of yogurt for creaminess!

  8. Amanda and I tried spinach, banana, peanut butter and yogurt. Tasted pretty good but most of all I liked the color! I haven’t tried almond milk and love coconut so will give it a try. As for tweeting – I don’t know how!

  9. I haven’t eaten cold cereal in two years a friend suggested that I try the unsweetened
almond breeze with coconut. Wow it’s great I found my second love.
