Workouts for Your Best Half or Full Marathon
This month, we are sharing our favorite equipment based workouts for runners.
One of my favorite pieces of equipment to use in strength training is a Kettlebell. Kettlebells are extremely versatile. Not just for runners, but for anyone. They take up minimal space (which makes it great for home use) and have so many options in exercises to work the whole body.
Give this workout a try and let me know what you think!

Do each exercise for 10 reps, rest 30 seconds between each and repeat 2-3 times. If you need help with the exercises, a quick YouTube search will pull up examples.
Here are even more equipment based workouts for runners from a few of my running friends. Click on the picture to take you to their post. And don’t forget to Pin awayso you have a stash of valuable running info to reference whenever you need it.

What’s your favorite equipment based workout?
The ONE piece of equipment (ok, there are several) I don’t have in my basement right now is a kettlebell! Obviously I need to fix that before I’m stuck down there this winter on snow days!! We use kettlebells a lot at CrossFit and I’m slowing learning on to use my hips and glutes again

Thank you so much for sharing these! I love using my kettlebell to strengthen my legs/core/upper body.
And those single-leg deadlifts are killer!

Strength training is the one thing that’s keeping me running! It’s been a game changer for me, as you know.
I can’t wait to try your workout once I’m back to strength training after the marathon and surgery! The kettlebell one of my favorite pieces of equipment. Loved this month’s round up!
I love how much stronger strength training makes me feel. Probably my favorite overall move with equipment is the kettle bell swing. My whole body is working!
These are great workouts! I don’t own a stability ball but I need one – maybe I’ll add it to my “home gym” that I’ve been dying to create!
